- As a caregiver, you will provide essential non-medical assistance to clients in their homes, helping them maintain independence and dignity. The role of a caregiver includes companionship, personal care support, assistance with daily living activities, and light housekeeping. Area of work opportunities covers Richland and Lexington Counties
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Assist with daily living activities (ADLs), including personal care and mobility.
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding.
- Maintain client safety and report changes in condition.
- Observe infection control and follow care plan protocols.
- Provide transportation for appointments and activities.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
- Remind clients to take medication.
- Clock in/out and document all tasks.
- Prior experience in caregiving, home care, or a related field preferred.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license, proof of insurance (if required for client transport)
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new
skills - State required training (SCDPH 60-122 Section 300) preferred but can be completed with the One you Love Homecare
- Be able to read, write, and communicate effectively with client and supervisor
- Be capable of following a care services plan and maintain accurate records of care provided and client's daily activities with minimal supervision
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to pass SC Department of Public Health Caregiver work requirements (SCDPH 60-122 Section 300)
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds
- Ability to assist clients with mobility and physical transfers.
- Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
