Job Summary
  • As a caregiver, you will provide essential non-medical assistance to clients in their homes, helping them maintain independence and dignity. The role of a caregiver includes companionship, personal care support, assistance with daily living activities, and light housekeeping. Area of work opportunities covers Richland and Lexington Counties
Responsibilities 
  • Provide companionship and emotional support.
  • Assist with daily living activities (ADLs), including personal care and mobility.
  • Prepare meals and assist with feeding.
  • Maintain client safety and report changes in condition.
  • Observe infection control and follow care plan protocols.
  • Provide transportation for appointments and activities.
  • Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
  • Remind clients to take medication.
  • Clock in/out and document all tasks.
Qualifications
  • Prior experience in caregiving, home care, or a related field preferred.  
  • High school diploma or GED preferred. 
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license, proof of insurance (if required for client transport)
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills. 
  • Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new
    skills
  • State required training (SCDPH 60-122 Section 300) preferred but can be completed with the One you Love Homecare
  • Be able to read, write, and communicate effectively with client and supervisor
  • Be capable of following a care services plan and maintain accurate records of care provided and client's daily activities with minimal supervision
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Ability to pass SC Department of Public Health Caregiver work requirements (SCDPH 60-122 Section 300)
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to assist clients with mobility and physical transfers.
  • Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.

Compensation: $16.00 per hour
