- Engage in meaningful conversations and client hobbies (puzzles, music, movement, etc.)
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding.
- Provide transportation for appointments and activities.
- Perform light housekeeping (vacuum, dust, wipe down kitchen, etc.) and laundry.
- Remind clients to take medication.
- Bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Mobility assistance and safe transfers
- Assistance with feeding if necessary
- Maintain client safety, monitor and report changes in client condition to agency management.
- Clock in and Clock out on time for every assigned shift.
- Document all task activity for every shift.
- Communicate clearly to both client and management personnel.
- Genuine enjoyment of working with seniors.
- Prior experience in caregiving, home care, or related field is a plus.
- Growth mindset and interest in ongoing training in homecare (online and/or in-person).
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for clear and consistent communication with clients and our management team.
- Commitment to being present while with clients to ensure they feel supported.
- Interest in cooking meals and keeping a tidy house.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and proof of insurance (if required for client transport)
- High school diploma or GED.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to assist clients with mobility and physical transfers.
- Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
- Our shifts are a minimum of 4-hours.
- Flexible scheduling (days, evenings, weekends, 12-hour shifts, and overnights available).
