Experienced Dementia Caregiver Needed (Mon & Tues)
📍 Private Home Care Position

We are seeking a highly experienced and compassionate caregiver for a client with advanced dementia. This is a part-time position (Monday & Tuesday) with the potential for ongoing work.

Requirements:

  •  Minimum 10+ years of experience working with dementia clients 
  • Medical background preferred
  •  Some college education required
  • Must have cooking experience and be comfortable preparing meals 
  •  Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  •  Comfortable around dogs (2 Labrador Retrievers in the home) 
  •  Strong communication skills and ability to engage non-verbal clients 
About the Client:
The client is in a stage of dementia where she is mentally aware but has difficulty verbalizing her thoughts. She benefits from a caregiver who is patient, engaging, and attentive.

Care Responsibilities:

  •  Morning routine: sponge bathing, dressing, and light makeup 
  •  Assist with selecting outfits (typically before 9–10 AM start) 
  •  Prepare meals and involve client in light meal preparation and table setting
  •  Provide meaningful companionship (cards, conversation about family, travel, etc.) 
  •  Encourage participation in daily activities 
  •  Accompany client on walks and outdoor activities (gardening, flowers, etc.)
